Thich Quang Ducwas a Vietnamese Mahayana Buddhist monk who burned himself to death at a busy Saigon road intersection on 11 June 1963 as protest. Whether you agree with his actions or not, it’s incredible to see what human beings are capable of when they practice mindfulness

So to continue on with my previous photo rant, I have made to sure to surround myself with anything that inspires me to create, so I can refrain from turning into a mindless robot, as my institution tries to do

the way her hips make circular movement, allowing the colourful fabric draping over her body to dance like fireflies in the night. How the brightness of them doesn’t overpower her, but accompanies her divinity, finds peace in the gold of her skin, and in the amazement which is her sight. You think you know her.  You think you have it all figured out as she dances happily. But as you finally catch a glimpse of her face, everything you knew disappears in a mist,  when you sense an aura  of mystery in her smile.

*Not my Work* Spotted on the street; in love with the two different sets of bricks on either side. the regular tiny ones on the right, and huge honking ones on the left.  Pretty awesome, gives me such great ideas for future work.  Paintings on double textures?! I think so !  For all the work I post that is not mine, I wish I had a name to put underneath it, so artists could be credited.

This is the story of a years time.  God I feel so bad for this canvas.   It started out with literally, about 200 thumb prints, because I think finger prints are wicked.   I hated how it turned out SO, I threw it in a corner, until a month later, when I drew flowers on it, wasn’t going as I planned, so I threw it at the back of my shelf.   Came across it months later, added the words and random patterns.  Now that it was moderately acceptable, I put it up, but STILL something about it, each time I’d walk by it, bothered me.   So then, a week later, when I was agitated beyond belief, I added the bleeding colours up top.   But I still want to throw it out.  But I won’t, because it barely meets my satisfaction, and I need that in my life; as a symbol, to keep me grounded, and remind me that there will never come a time where I’ll be a good artist, I will always be a growing artist, and that’s what I need, its perfect.   Or I might have some sort of disorder
